Hello everyone,
Here's a basic levelling guide detailing a quick route through the game to level up. There are probably faster ways, but this will be targeted at players who don't yet know the secrets of the game. As I test each mob individually myself, I will fill this in with more and more details. Eventually it will be a point and click walkthrough aimed at new players, but this will be the pattern any player will follow until you reborn. Also keep in mind that /go commands require a minimum level on each map. Be sure to load up on food from the [Tavern Owner] NPC's as it is necessary to heal while fighting. Every single level, you will notice your damage increasing. If you always fight enemies equal or less than your level, you will always hit for maximum damage.
Level 1: Speak to Arua's Fairy to receive a quest. Follow the directions to [Village Chief] Gray. This bumps you straight to level 13. Now run north and speak to one of the Trainers (see your mini map) and pick a class. If you are new to Rose Online, I suggest creating a defensive Soldier class, as it is the easiest to level. A ranged Hawker is a bit more of a challenge but can be an extremely fun first class.
Level 13: Teleport to Zant at /go 2, and fight Honey Bee's until you can get yourself a new weapon. Three or four kills will get you to level 20. They drop approximately 2000 zulie each drop.
Level 20-30: Woopies. Be careful of Hornets and Woopie Gluttons; without GM buffs, the Gluttons are really tough, and the Hornets will swarm you. But you can easily dispatch Woopies, Woopie Chefs and solitary Hornets until you get stronger.
Level 30-40: If you are a defenseive class, try Aquas and Porkies in Anima Lake. If this is too difficult, try fighting Woopie Chefs and Gluttons until you reach level 35.
Level 40-50: Moldies in Junon Polis. Begin by fighting Small Moldies, and at level 45 or so you can fight all the others easily. These mobs will drop some useful equipment, like Dark level 30 gear, albeit rarely.
Level 50-70: 1v1 Leveling: Mount Eruca mobs. Reindeer, Frozen Thornes, Wolverines, Sabertooths in that order. Eruca mobs hit harder, but have less HP/Defense and give high exp. Poor drops though, usually zulie.
-------------AoE/Farming: Goblin Cave B1. Much denser spawns for AoE attacks, and high drop rates for refines, low grade gems, and gear. This is only advised for post-reborn characters.
Level 70-100: Gorge of Silence. Anything that moves, destroy it. Avoid the Giant Worm Dragon at ALL COSTS. Regular Worm Dragons are beatable if you have potions and decent gear. I would not fight them until they are yellow, because as mentioned above, your damage is directly proportional to the difference in level between you and your target. After reborns you will be strong enough to easily wipe out Worm Dragons so memorize the spawns as there are many. They give excellent exp and drop wings and scales, among others.
Level 100-130: Portals in Magic City of Eucar. Your class and equipment determines which map you can fight in, but with /go you can simply return to Eucar (/go 7) if you get overwhelmed. Keep in mind that you cannot teleport below 50% HP.
Level 130-150: Pincers and Warbiz in Xita Refuge (/go 9). Be extremely careful of Queen Pincer, as she can hit very hard, and can self buff her defense. She gives very high exp and has many excellent drops for her level though. Continue to fight them when they become green, or if you have high defense you can move on to Hooks. They look like Raiders, and have similar strengths and weaknesses.
Level 150-170: Tiger Rider mobs in Shady Jungle. The spawn near the Marsh of Ghosts entrance is where Turak spawns, so be careful if you kill too many as he is extremely powerful. Non-reborned solo characters cannot defeat him.
Level 170-190: Marsh of Ghosts. Beware the ranged units. These mobs can and will aggro frequently, but have many magnificent crafting drops. Advised to bring a healer. Avoid the Guard type mobs if possible as they have high defense, but you will level quickly here regardless.
Level 190-200: Raknu Prisoners in the Sikuku Prison. Be extremely careful not to get too close to too many at once as they WILL mob you. Avoid Infiltrators, they are what will kill you here. The mobs can drop chests which contain Rare grade armor and weapons, such as Golden/Legendary/Elven armor for levels 180-200. These can also be sold to NPC's for a good price, but I recommend opening them all in town in case you get items worth selling to other players.
Level 200-220: Sikuku Ruins. This, in my opinion, is much more enjoyable than Orlo. Be careful as it is a PvP map, but you only lose 3% exd upon death and there are more than enough mobs for everyone here, as well as excellent drops for lisents and high level crafting materials.
or,
Level 200-230: Planet Orlo. Use the /go commands to find an ideal place to level based on your build and equipment. DO NOT attempt to fight the king units alone! They are absurdly powerful! (for good reason. If you manage to kill one, the drops can be very helpful...). I will mention though that the drops are currently bugged in Gates of Muris, as only a handful of items drop. For now I would recommend fighting in the Ruins.
Once we have our new planet finished up, we will raise the maximum level and open it to visitors! Right now we are focusing on bug fixing and making the existing game enjoyable, but soon we will return to working on the new planet.
If you have any questions regarding specific mobs to fight/avoid, or where to find drops feel free to respond here, this is not a locked thread. I welcome all questions, concerns and especially revisions to my simple guide. Over time I will fill this in with FAR more detail, but not until I can personally test each mob and ensure that my guide is accurate.
Cheers!
